Hollow encoder A control sensor based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. If the sinusoidal excitation current is raised in the rotor winding, the rotor forms the same frequency voltage in the stator winding, but the phase or amplitude changes with the relative displacement of the rotor and the stator. The induced voltage is performed by electronic circuits, such as phase discrimination or amplitude discrimination and A/D conversion, and produces several digital signals.
